This Privacy Policy explains how the Invy: Shop By Image app ("Invy", "we", "us") handles your information. Invy is private by design: you do not create an account, and we keep on your device everything we reasonably can.
Photos you scan. When you scan a product, the photo (and any optional text you add) is sent securely to our processing server and to our AI and visual-search providers solely to identify the product and find prices for it. We do not use your photos to advertise to you, and we do not sell them.
Your finds. The products you save — images, names, prices, and notes — are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or back up your saved finds to our servers.
Region & language. Your chosen shopping region and display language are stored on your device and sent with a scan only so results match your market and currency.
Diagnostics & usage. Like most apps, we may collect anonymous, aggregated diagnostic and usage data (for example, crashes and feature usage) to keep the app stable and improve it.
Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription status, not your payment card details.
To deliver results we use trusted providers, including OpenAI (product identification and descriptions), Serper/Google (visual matches and shopping prices), Apple (purchases and review prompts), and RevenueCat (subscription management). These providers process data only to perform their service.
Scan images are processed transiently to produce a result and are not retained on our servers for profiling. Your saved finds remain on your device until you delete an item or uninstall the app.
You can delete any saved item at any time. Uninstalling the app removes your local data. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
Invy is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Invy shows live prices and AI-generated information gathered from third-party retailers and search results. Prices change often and may be inaccurate or out of date. Always confirm the final price, availability, and authenticity on the retailer's own website before buying. Invy is not a seller and does not guarantee any price.
